Sammendrag
This study of the political sides-taking of the British press since 1992 is based on the editorial writings of 8 national newspapers. It demonstrates that attitudes to Tony Blair changed more than once in the decade which followed the New Labour landslide in 1997; also that the attitudes of certain allegedly influential newspapers often lagged behind those of the general public. The book traces the slow revival of Tory fortunes after the election of David Cameron as party leader, and shows how the press handled the various factors which together spelt the end of New Labour.
