Ibsen at the Centre for Advanced Study

This anthology is written by a group of Ibsen scholars who were invited fellows at the Centre for Advances Study at the Norwegian Academy for Science and Letters. The studies concern Ibsen's use of seminal sources such as the Bible, Shakespeare, Kierkegaard, philosophical and dramaturgic analyses of individual plays, analyses from the perspective of social history and a examination of the problematic aspects of translation.
