Sammendrag

This book comprises 62 of the papers originally presented at the 11th World Conference of the International Society of Family Law held in Copenhagen and Oslo 2.7 August 2002, with 270 participants from 44 countries. These papers give us from different perspectives a clear view of how human rights’ concepts and human rights’ conventions inspire legal thinking and influence the legislature in the development of the norms regulating family life and policy. With contributions from all five continents, this book also illustrates how cultural and religious diversity meet the challenges of human rights in this field of law.
